Single Plate Swing Disc Check Valves
A single-leaf flanged check valve, commonly referred to as a "flap", is used on pipelines for various purposes to prevent the working medium from running back, as well as to protect the pipeline and the equipment installed on it from possible hydraulic shocks in the system due to pump shutdowns.
Flanged check valves are made of steel both along the body and along the locking element, which is shaped like a disk and attached to the body. Under the action of a spring, the locking disc is closed in its normal position, under the influence of the pressure of the working medium on one side, it opens a passage, when the pressure drops, the spring and its own weight return it to its original position, closing the holes and preventing the working medium from passing in the opposite direction.
They produce single-leaf check valves with diameters from DN50 to DN 500 mm and are designed for use at temperatures from -40 to +110 degrees and pressures up to 1.6 MPa.
