Knife gate valve with through gate
The gate valve is a very reliable type of shut-off valve, which has characteristic features of the shut-off element design. The gate in these valves is most often called a "knife", "slide" or "disc". The slide gate valve uses a metal plate or a metal wedge, which is capable of cutting various inclusions in the liquid flowing inside its body. This explains the purpose of this type of shut-off valve: blocking the flow of the working medium, which has a high viscosity, the ability to crystallize and is characterized by the presence of solid and abrasive particles, which are mostly active chemicals.
